Boom Pam

Boom Pam
In the summer of 2003 Boom Pam started gaining popularity in the Tel Aviv music scene, playing at night clubs and parties. The band consists of two electric guitars, a tuba and drums. Boom Pam blend their original music with arrangements of Balkan, Jewish, Greek and Mediterranean songs, seasoned with dueling guitars and a rock attitude.

Their cover version of the Greek hit "Boom Pam" (which was a major hit in 1969 for the late Aris San - a famous greek singer who immigrated to Israel and was one of the first to use electric guitar in a Greek music setting), recorded with Berry Sakharof, one of Israels leading rock stars, became a mega hit, ranking high on the charts.

Boom Pam has played at the Tel Aviv Symphony Hall and in some of Europes finest venues, including the Berlin Opera House and the Schauspiel in Frankfurt, alongside DJ Shantel at Bucovina Club parties. They have also collaborated with the Bat Sheva dance ensemble, performed at Zurich, Cologne, the Frankfurt Museum Festival and Mikonos, while continuing to play at weddings, parties and night clubs throughout their home country.

Their debut show in North America was at the globalFEST 2007, held in NYC. Afterwards they have toured throughout the USA and Canada, opening for the legendary VENTURES in California, playing in the Winnipeg folk festival and the Montreal Jazz Festival.

In mid 2010 Boom pam released their 3rd album on Tel Aviv based label “Audio Montage”, followed by appearance at SXSW and three European tours.

Boom Pam have been playing together for 7 years and have been touring extensively around the globe (Europe, U.S.A., Canada, Mexico and South Africa). They continue to blend magic Surf Guitars kicked by Tuba and heavy Drums on an ecstatic Mediterranean spicy trip.
