One Little Indian
Formed in 1985 by Derek Birkett, along with ex-Flux Of Pink Indians guitarist Tim Kelly.
One Little Indian's success was aided by The Shamen’s controversial number one single, Ebeneezer Goode. This was furthered by Björk’s solo album Debut which has, so far, sold over 4 million copies worldwide.
On June 10th 2020, the label changed its name to One Little Independent Records (from One Little Indian Records) in response to complaints that the original name was racially insensitive.
LC 3275
In 2003 One Little Indian opened an office in New York, forming One Little Indian US. American releases with an OLI catalogue prefix should be submitted as a One Little Indian US record company release.
For UK Company's field roles such as licensing, distribution or copyright holding use One Little Indian Ltd.
