Andrei Khoteev (December 2, 1946, Leningrad - November 28, 2021) - Russian pianist, teacher, music researcher. Since 1993 lives in Germany.
Andrei Khoteev began his piano studies at the age of five. He graduated with honors from the Leningrad Conservatory (now the St. Petersburg Conservatory) under Prof. Natan Perelman / Натан Перельман in 1971 and an assistant trainee at the Moscow Conservatory in 1985 under Prof. Lev Naumov.
He made his debut in 1983 at the Small Hall Of The Moscow Conservatoire.
Creative meetings with Sviatoslav Richter in St. Petersburg in June 1985 and with Alfred Schnittke in Hamburg in 1992 had a profound effect on Andrey Khoteev's performing style.
In 1990, on the recommendation of Valery Gergiev, he gives concerts in the Concertgebouw, Amsterdam and at the Schleswig-Holstein Festival in Germany, in 1991 he makes his debut in Hamburg with a program dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Sergei Prokofiev.
