Gabriel Pierné
French composer, conductor, and organist (born 16 August 1863 in Metz - died 17 July 1937 in Ploujean).
He became organist at the Basilica of Sainte-Clotilde, Paris from 1890 to 1898, succeeding César Franck. He was also linked with Édouard Colonne's concert series from 1903, becoming chief conductor of the Orchestre Colonne from 1910 to 1933.
