Who can possibly forget Sly & The Family Stone performing "I Want To Take You Higher" in the movie Woodstock ... they just about stole the show. The band zoomed out of flower power, zonked out, trippy San Francisco in the late 60's with a whole new bag ... they were socially conscious, one of the first racially mixed bands, they had a message of love, harmony and grooviness.
