Jeffrey Martin

The songs on the new album, One Go Around, the 3rd full-length from Portland based songwriter Jeffrey Martin come from an intense whirlwind of activity in his life, as he balanced full-time work as a high-school creative writing teacher with a touring schedule that saw him flying out for gigs on the weekend and grading papers on the plane home. Martins since quit teaching to become a full-time musician, but the stories he heard from his students when he was teaching and the stories he gathered on the road have stayed with him. The stories hit hard, because we know we may not be far off from them ourselves in this time of uncertainty. Jeffrey Martin has become known as a writer that other artists turn to for inspiration.
