After the release of the succesful 2019 album Descender, Avandra returns with a powerful and emotional musical offering entitled Skylighting that takes both the atmosphere and intensity of their music to the next level. Avandra stretches their sound to new places and is not afraid to to search for real emotions, that are explored in depth. Joined on this album by keyboardist extraordinaire Vikram Shankar (Redemption, Silent Skies), the band is able to add deeper layers to the already intense compositions. Topped of by the production of Alex Schwartz (Astronoid) and mastering by Jamie King (Between The Buried And Me, The Contortionist etc) this album shows that Avandra is walking their own path with their melancholic and atmospheric progressive metal sound.
