A musical tribute to H.P. LovecraftThe idea for TERRIBLE OLD MAN was born a long, long time ago. It happened that Herbert "Fabs" West dicoveredthe works of H.P. Lovecraft on a cold winters eve. maybe it was the other way around, but still years went by untilthe idea of intonation the poems of H.P. Lovecraft was brought to fruitation. Like understanding the work of H.P.Lovecraft it took Herbert West sleepless nights to form this idea into a band and even more laborious to turn theworks of H.P. Lovecraft into music. Lyrically you will find the some of the works of H.P. Lovecraft unchanged. Whyshould change something that is brilliantly written? What TERRIBLE OLD?MAN did is write music around thismarvelous literature. The music is influenced by CELTIC FROST, VOIVOD to keep it dark, added some THE CULT, some flavour of DANZIGand SAMHAIN to top it off. This all packed in a suit of Rock'n Roll. All members of TERRIBLE OLD MAN been or arestill active in bands like: The New Black, The Bulletmonks, Paradox, Brain Damage and others. For upcoming liveshows the words of H.P. Lovecraft and their music will translate into a live situation.
