CDs 7/8:
Note: CDs 7 and 8 with Mendelssohn’s Songs Without Words
were recorded on eight different dates over a period of
almost a year with different instruments and recording
techniques. There are obvious “color” changes in sound
due to heavy editing between the sessions. In addition,
long-term storage of the tapes has created “wow and
flutter” effects requiring a copious amount of restoration
work.

CDs 7/8:
Note: CDs 7 and 8 with Mendelssohn’s Songs Without Words
were recorded on eight different dates over a period of
almost a year with different instruments and recording
techniques. There are obvious “color” changes in sound
due to heavy editing between the sessions. In addition,
long-term storage of the tapes has created “wow and
flutter” effects requiring a copious amount of restoration
work.
