French rights society founded in 1985, initially in charge of collecting the rights generated by the broadcasting of music videos and the tax on private copies. Its mission is to protect the rights of music producers; it also acts as the French agency for ISRC attribution.
The SCPP logo can appear on releases for its role as a rights society or as a sponsor, a portion of the rights collected being allocated to support projects and productions.
