Engine Of Hell
Emma Ruth Rundle presents her 2021 album. Emma has always been a multifaceted musician, equally capable of dreamy abstraction, maximalist textural explorations and the classic singer-songwriter tradition. But on 'Engine Of Hell' she has opted to forego the full-band arrangements of her previous albums in favour of the austerity of a lone piano or guitar and her voice, which creates a kind of intimacy, as if were sitting beside Rundle on a bench, or perhaps even playing the songs ourselves.
