This was the first demo from U.K. mod band The Scene, featuring original singer Mick Winslow (ex-The Variations). This 7" picture disc includes the studio version of 'Stop Go', which had Andy Welsh on vocals.

This is the next release in the new series "The Classic '79 Mod Series...The Next Generation", which follows on from "The Classic '79 Mod Series" and consists of recordings from the 2nd generation of mod bands, recorded January 1983 onwards.
This was the bands first ever demo and all four tracks feature the original singer Mick Winslow who was the singer from "The Variations", also the title track "Stop Go" is a studio version and not live like it was on the bands second single which had Andy Welsh on vocals.
The second track "I Gotta Do Things My Way" was totally unreleased until now and is a cover of the classic 'Tim Rose" track that he released back in 1966.
And for all you trainspotters among us, it features a third member of the 'Wood' family on that track! a guest appearance by Gary and Russell's mum under her stage name of "Leslie Allen".
This was supposed to be the labels first release of 2022, but as the copies arrived back from the pressing plant early! Detour decided to bring the release date forward to October 2021 to release the E.p even though the artwork says 2022.
