After Gacha Empega and his Provenal polyphonies, Dupain and his Occitan electro rock, Forabandit the Occitano-Turkish-Marseille acoustic trio, Sam Karpienia invents with Manu Reymond and Thomas Lippens a new Provenal epic, De la Crau. De la Crau has been working for 4 years on a repertoire anchored in the reality of a Provenal geography located between Marseille, the periphery of the Etang de Berre and the industrialized plain of Crau, a rocky land with a harsh and squat charm. De la Crau defolklorizes Provenal to give it its place in the current of Sono Mondiale, a musical current made up of hybridizations between local and global. This journey started by Sam Karpienia some twenty years ago is now expressed with this new album Temperi.
