October 7, 2014 marks the release of Triumvirate, Pennsylvania-based artist Lou Rogai’s finest work to date and the first new Lewis & Clarke album in nearly half a decade. Including long-time collaborators, the brothers Ian and Shane O'Hara, it’s an album of seasoned confidence and meditative song-craft with a vision of clarity and conviction; a seventy-five minute journey through lush and brooding passages nestled in a canopy of strings, melancholic melodies and warm, world-weary beauty. Complex, fragile arrangements mix with unexpected but natural elements to create a tapestry of delicate, intricate avant-folk / art-pop. Triumvirate exists in the shadows between elegance and stark dissonance, shifting focus between light and dark while examining the beauty of impossible situations.
