SAMETI was the project of Christian Thiele alias SHRAT. He belonged to the founding members of the legendary AMON DUUL II, but after the double-album "Yeti" had been published in Spring 1970 he left the band.οΏ½ 1972 under the label Brain the debut album with same name was published which found highest acceptation especially in Krautrock circles. Up to 1974 the line up (except Shrat) changed completely and thus also the sound of SAMETI was a totally different one.For his plans the singer has created a top class band:Guitar player Jorg Evers, formerly played with EMBRYO and 18 KARAT GOLD. Multi-instrumentalist Robby Heibl joined them, just left AMON DUUL II, and took over the bass. The Frenchman Daniel Alumno played former drums with GILA. Together with the second guitar player Bernd Weber they founded a group which harmonized very well.οΏ½In September "Hungry For Love" appeared at WEA.οΏ½This album created some astonishment because the debut album sounded very playful. This new album offered a crispy and pumping sound, the guys seems to listen too much to Rolling Stones and hip glamrock. Now on cd for the very first time! A fest for your ears!
