The third album by Sebastopol, brainchild of Marc Debroey, is a fact. While the first album"Sebastopolis" and the second album "The Landing" were full of long journeys, emotions andnostalgia, the third brings a lot more tranquility. The tranquility of coming home. Moondust andBlack Stars stands for inner calmness and offers room for the listener to enjoy this peace. Analbum of few words, no messages, no indictment, no protest, no biographical things, ... buttrying to create a space and an environment to stop and contemplate. This without reservationand in complete freedom, nothing is obligatory and everything is allowed.On Moondust and Black Stars Sebastopol remains musically speaking within his eternal and oldlove "Ambient". And there it is: the A-word. A genre that until now is being used in the wrongcontext than it covers the load. Ambient means "surrounding": an environment where you aresurrounded by sounds and where you are absorbed or where you let yourself be carried away bythem. And that's it. Nothing more and nothing less. This environment is created by soundsynthesis, a difficult word for "actually just turning the knobs, hearing, feeling and listening".Does it sound good and does it feel good?
