'In The Tower' is the first long player from the V. Vecker Ensemble, a diverse troupe of musicians from Vancouver's underground, led by musician, artist and composer Keith Wecker (Sex Negatives, Emergency Room). 'In The Tower' builds its force from repetition, meditation, explosion and restraint. Wecker's inspiration for the ensemble originates from his participation in Glenn Branca's 'Symphony No. 13: Hallucination City' in 2008, and Anthony Braxton's 2010 'Sonic Genome Project', with large groups exploring pieces that include composition and improvisation collectively.
