Part three of the compilation series on ATOMICAT: 30 cover versions in the rock'n'roll and rhythm'n'blues style of the 50s and 60s - in the three-part Serial Artwok digisleeve on the RHYTHM BOMB sublabel. Mostly unknown and still rarely re-released songs by artists outside Europe, created between 1955 and 1962, gather on the third episode of this sampler. With acts like DEE DEE SHARP, OTIS WILLIAMS, LITTLE ESTHER, OTTO BASH, ERNEST TUBB, BAKER KNIGHT, CARL PERKINS, RAY CHARLES, VERNON TAYLOR and many others, strong songs are represented throughout, even if you may know them better in other versions. "Man, that's a hit! Get it covered!" was not an admission of one's own inability, but for decades the operating noise of all popular music. And if we are honest, this phenomenon extends far into the present day. All recordings have been carefully remastered.
