Remarks:
Recorded at home [the EMB in Sannois, the Burgui�re brothers favourite venue] in an intimate setting with an audience limited to two hundred people, "Avril et vous" fulfils the desire to leave a record of another facet of the Ogres work. Concert, the album recorded with La Fanfare du Belgistan, reflected the image of a group capable of energising any audience with a repertoire bursting with energy, highly festive musically and fundamentally rock in interpretation. But the Ogres are just as capable of chiselling, as perfect jewellers of song, pearls of a sensitivity that would make many of their congeners swoon. This album is a reminder to those who might have tended to forget. –

Remarks:
Recorded at home [the EMB in Sannois, the Burgui�re brothers favourite venue] in an intimate setting with an audience limited to two hundred people, "Avril et vous" fulfils the desire to leave a record of another facet of the Ogres work. Concert, the album recorded with La Fanfare du Belgistan, reflected the image of a group capable of energising any audience with a repertoire bursting with energy, highly festive musically and fundamentally rock in interpretation. But the Ogres are just as capable of chiselling, as perfect jewellers of song, pearls of a sensitivity that would make many of their congeners swoon. This album is a reminder to those who might have tended to forget. –

Featuring 13 songs of love (both good and all gone wrong), death, life and just general fucking around on a daily basis. Stuff you can relate to. As a huge fan of the superb Belgien beers I would love to write something clever about this record and relate it to Quadruples and Trappists and Saisons, but fuck that for now. This goes perfectly with loads of lager preferably in big glasses and cheap alchohol!Kicks off in perfect style with what you think is an instrumental with an in-your-face harmonica solo followed by a blistering guitar! But what for it! "In Motion" dives into a perfect little r'n'r tune with a certain Memphis feel to it heavily amplified by the chorus line "Strong Come On"I'm sure fans of Reigning Sounds and Oblivians will have a small (drunken) smile on their face while listening to this fine slab of hard bluesy rock action. My original plan was NOT to mention "O, Oblivian!" but there you goThere is a certain laid back 70s rock inspiration sprinkled all over the record recalling splendid bands like The Dictators, MC5 and Rory Gallagher during his "Top Priority" and "Stage Struck" era. Songs like "My Love is Gone" and "Soft Kill" are knee deep stuck in the best sounds of the 60s rock tradition. However these guys never sound retrospective or old-school. Totally fresh and rocking in a free new world of people who actually believe that true rock'n'roll never dies. Short, sharp, to-the-point compositions with no superflous bullshit or pointless ideas. You even get a one and a half minute ballad and a two minute country tune electric spaghetti style! I feel like writing motherfucker now, but I can't really get it context. Wait a minute! Maybe "motherfucker" is the best way to describe these four fine fellows. I'm sure... –

Innocent Exile formed in early-'80s Philadelphia, before morphing into ANVIL BITCH before the end of 1983 and eventually settling on a lineup of John Plumley (guitar), Chuck Stadulis (drums), Dave Carr (bass), and Gary Capriotti (vocals). Initially starting out performing METALLICA, SLAYER, MOTORHEAD, and EXODUS covers, the group soon began composing its own original materialinspired by not only the burgeoning thrash metal scene, but also hardcore/punk crossover such as the CRUMBSUCKERS and C.O.C.A debut four-song demo was laid down at The Sound Bank in 1985, and by the following year ANVIL BITCH had secured a deal with New Renaissance Records, resulting in an appearance on the Speed Metal Hell II compilation. The band's lone full-length, Rise To Offend, was completed at DAK Audio with Shawn Tierney and released toward the end of 1986. Positioned within the healthy Northeastern U.S. metal scene, ANVIL BITCH continued to secure their legacy with opening slots for the likes of EXODUS, KING DIAMOND, MOTORHEAD, and OVERKILL. Unfortunately, with writing for a second album underway, things fell apart in 1988 with the bulk of the members transitioning into harder-hitting thrash outfit DOMINANCE. 20 years later, ANVIL BITCH would reunite for the three-song Sanctify EP, but it remains Rise To Offend - out-of-print for over 20 years - that has truly become a sought-after cult classic in the realms of underground metal.Nearly 40 years after its original release, Divebomb Records is overwhelmingly ecstatic to finally bring to light this deluxe edition of Rise To Offend as a 22-track CD that includes the 1985 demo and complete six-song Sanctify sessions as a bonus. Fully remastered by Jamie King Audio, the disc will be packaged with a 20-page booklet jammed with photos, flyers, lyrics, and a retrospective interview with John Plumley. –

In the sticky-floored underbelly of Washington DC, where the amps buzz louder than the city's bullshit, SEXFACES have been brewing something gnarly. Their debut full-length, BAD VIBES OST, is a full-noise, zero-fluff slab of punked-up nihilism. Recorded and mixed in April 2024 under the ever-present shadow of Boner 4Ever by Dan Angel and produced by Ben Schurr, this 11-track dose of chaotic energy is the sound of a band that knows exactly what it's doing and doesn't care if you like it or not.SEXFACES ain't here to play nice. Jacky Cougar (Des Demonas, Thee Lolitas) pounds the drums like they owe him money, while Sal Go (Stop Worrying & Love the Bomb, The NVs) saws through the noise with guitar that's equal parts bratty and brutal. Hana Racecar (Tadzio, Coven Tree) layers in viola with a sneering elegance, and FiFi Allin (TK Echo, Et At It) slings basslines that punch and swerve. Together, they churn out a sound that drags the droney madness of the Velvet Underground through the gutter, filters it through The Fall's acerbic wit, and ties it all together with the punk attack of The Damned and the scuzzy swagger of Royal Trux. –
