Long awaited full length debut by this singer songwriter. Roots music influenced by folk, soul and jazz. You'll find that this record has some unexpected tricks up its sleeve, take the remake of Little Lullaby (from his 2005 EP Grandson) where the guitars and keys are replaced by violins and cellos making the song even more intense. This 12 track wonder knows a lot of good mood changes, like the uplifting God Bless America after the clouded Day Is Done, a carefully picked Nick Drake song (dedicated to a lost friend). As much as this is an excellent album for car driving loners, songs like 1,2,3, Where I Belong and Nothing More prove this album is ever so ready for some hot fun!
