The group are miss-titled on this release. Tracks, such as A4, were not written or performed until 1969 onward, long after the band "Captain Beefheart And His Magic Band" had left Frank Freeman's.
A 20 April 2013 Record Store Day issue, limited to 1,000 numbered copies.
Issued on 180g purple vinyl in a gatefold sleeve, that has the original Frank Freeman Beefheart UK 1968 gig poster reproduced on the cover.
Only 4 tracks are actually taken from this live performance; A1, A3, B1 & B4 - the remainder from other sources.
The 4 Freeman tracks previously featured on the CD package (& Grow Fins vinyls).
Track A1, although traditional, was first popularized by Willie Newbern and then mainly attributed to McKinley Morganfield.
Track B4, again traditionally-sourced, was popularized by Blind Willie Johnson.
