This "SHM-CD/DVD Special Edition" features the latest remastered version of the CD (first released in 2008), while the DVD features newly restored versions of all the video clips featured on the original DVD.
The video clips have been restored in the 16:9 format, as opposed to the normal 4:3 format. However, this does not mean that the aspect ratio of the picture has been compromised - on the contrary, since the 4:3 frame shaves off some of the original 16mm picture. On this DVD, the picture takes up more space on the screen (approx. 1.40:1 instead of 1.33:1) - even though this means some of the resolution is lost to the black side bars. Also, the format is NTSC as opposed to the higher resolution PAL of the original 4:3 DVD.
