Ben Patterson

Benjamin Patterson (b.May 29, 1934, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA – d.June 25, 2016, Wiesbaden, Germany) was an American musician and artist. He was one of the founders of the Fluxus art movement and one of its members that had prior musical training - his instrument being the double bass. He was an important performer in early Fluxus concerts, and wrote many performance and musical pieces. However, it wasn't until the 1990's and early 21st century that recordings of his music started to appear.
