Stone In Egypt
Stone In Egypt was founded in 1997 by Tjeerd de Jong (ex Lethargy, Beyond Belief). First demotape Katmandu Dreampiece was rewarded a record deal with Cold Blood Industries. Debut cd 'Stone In Egypt' was released in november 2000 and received great critics all over the world. Second album 'Almost Forever' was released on 12" vinyl.
In 2004 Stone in Egypt released 'Swinging Dead in Summerwind', a very heavy and melancholic album, on their own Retrorocket label. It received very good reviews from the musicpress.
Around 2006, they disbanded. Tjeerd worked on several projects like the 'Serpentarius' album.
In 2014 Stone In Egypt came 'back from the dead' with new members Rene N. Bronwasser (ex Osiris, C of E) and Mike Nijenhuis (ex Stoner Magnet).
