In 2019 the Galieo 7 realised that 2020 would be their tenth year as a band, so thoughts turned to ways they could mark the forthcoming auspicious occasion. Having already released six albums of original material, what about studio recordings of ten cover versions they've put in their live sets over those nearly ten glorious (sic) years? Good idea! However, they only had seven songs, and couldn't get together to record any more. A dig into the archives turned up an unreleased cover version, and another two of a similar vintage that had only seen the light of day on fairly obscure releases, now hard to get hold of. All of these had been recorded by the MKII version of the band in 2013. These cuts were exhumed during the summer and remixed and remastered. They fitted in perfectly with the newer recordings and completed the set of ten required. So here it is: 'Decayed' - a celebration of ten years of making music forthe sake of it - a not-for-profit cottage industry. Includes versions of songs originally performed by X-Ray Spex, Paul Revere & The Raiders, The Nerves, The Who, Julian Cope, Pink Floyd, Terry Reid, Shocking Blue, The Monkees and The Soft Boys.
