Sublabel created by Staalplaat to release the ongoing series of recordings commissioned by VPRO (Vrijzinnig Protestantse Radio Omroep), a Dutch broadcasting corporation. Most of these recordings were broadcast on one of the Dutch national radio stations (Radio 5) in a show called "De Avonden", more recently also in "Zeldzaam.Dwars". The name translates literally from French as \“Death to Cows,\” with \“cows\” being French slang for cops - it is equivalent to \“Death to Pigs\” in English.
All releases are limited to at most 1000 copies and come in a typical trifold packaging, with the CD held in place by a copper split-nail. Over the years some special materials were used like foam, plastic, vinyl, copper-foil, tracing paper, sandpaper, etc.
