Lars-Erik Larsson
Swedish composer, born 15 May, 1908 in Åkarp, died 27 December, 1986 in Helsingborg.
As a composer, Larsson is best known for his orchestral works, but also wrote chamber music, works for piano and romances. He also wrote music for 22 films and also some hit songs. Larsson made his international breakthrough as a composer through the performance of the Sinfonietta for string orchestra at the ISCM festival in Florence on April 5, 1934, where it was given standing ovations. His most played and loved works are probably "Förklädd gud" for choir and orchestra to lyrics by Hjalmar Gullberg and Pastoralsvit.
