Remarks:
The first-ever vinyl release of two long-awaited tracks, previously available only in digital format. This highly anticipated split 7" features Jello Biafra & The Guantanamo School of Medicine and The November 3, with two explosive songs: "Blunder Blubber" and "IFAR.""Blunder Blubber," originally released as a digital single to mark Rush Limbaugh's passing and was recorded during the TEA PARTY REVENGE PORN recording sessions, highlights everything iconic about Jello Biafra & The Guantanamo School of Medicine. The song critiques the rise of right-wing extremism, tracing its roots back to Rush Limbaugh's influence and the repeal of the Fairness Doctrine under President Reagan in 1987a policy change that allowed one-sided political commentary on public airwaves. Biafra argues that this set the stage for the toxic media landscape, fueling figures like Limbaugh and the current wave of "MAGA" rhetoric. Reflecting on the political climate, Biafra notes, "I wrote [the song] back when Clinton was president, seeing the writing on the wall. I was hoping never to use it, but we had no choice but to update and perform it now."On the flip side, The November 3 delivers "IFAR," a fiery debut track that first dropped during the 2020 Republican National Convention. Blending punk rock energy with raw political outrage, lead vocalist Billie O' Rights unleashes a bold, biting rant, backed by Tom Pain's searing guitars. Pat Triotte and Justice Ferrall add their creative touches to this electrifying anthem, capturing the chaotic spirit of the times. "IFAR," is a raucous, tongue-in-cheek commentary on partisan divides, clocking in at just two minutes of catchy, irreverent fun. Interestingly, the song was reportedly conceived during a mundane moment: Pat Triotte was baking blueberry muffins one Saturday afternoon when the idea hit, and within hours, the track was recorded and the muffins were supposedly amazing. –

Hailing from Los Angeles, Die Sexual is the dark electronic duo of Anton and Ros Floriano, blending EBM, industrial, and electropop into a seductive soundscape. With Anton's production expertise (notable for remixes of Depeche Mode, Nitzer Ebb and IAMX) and Ros's creative vision, they craft hypnotic rhythms and provocative themes of desire and control. Elektro Body Musique, their debut on Pylon Records, is a bold exploration of sensuality through analog and modular synths, designed to captivate and move.Elektro Body Musique, redefines both sound and presentation with a revolutionary vinyl pressing and a first of its kind. Each side of the record is pressed in a distinct color, Black on Side A and Solid Red on Side B - perfectly reflecting the bands exploration of duality, contrast, and sensuality.Hand Numbered & Limited to just 300 copies, this collectors edition marries Die Sexuals hypnotic blend of EBM, industrial, and electropop with a visually stunning format, creating a truly unique experience for fans of innovative music and vinyl artistry. –

Released: 01 Nov 2024
Genre: Electronic

• A1 | Sickening Elixir
• A2 | Ethereal Ink
• A3 | Dysplasia Delirium
• B1 | Tremor
• B2 | Mosaic

• B4 | Morphine Boogie

Harmonium, Percussion, Darbouka, Synth – Shahi Baaja
Mastered By – Chris Hardman
Mixed By – Sophie Cooper
Music By, Artwork By, Mixed By – Jake Blanchard
Notes:
Limited to 300 copies in the UK
Remarks:
Jake is well known for his striking art/print work having designed many sleeves for the likes of Pelt, Mike Gangloff and Richard Dawson (his artwork for Dawson's 'The Ruby Cord' was awarded third place in the Art Vinyl album cover of the year award 2022). Along with Sophie Cooper he is one half of TOR, an umbrella term for a variety of projects including Tor Bookings, Tor Festival, Tor Press, Tor Beers and Tor FM that has made Todmorden synonymous with bringing diverse/creative and the best experimental music to the North of England. 'Fermentation' came together over the last couple of years, during this time Jake started struggling with a hip problem and chronic pain. This forced him to change his approach to recording music. He was no longer able to play for any significant length of time so the album was recorded in short bursts and gradually pieced together. Due to this Jake had to move away from the extended improvised jams of previous albums and take a more structured route. Jake plays an electric shahi baaja (similar to the Indian bulbul tarang and Japanese taishogoto, types of zither using typewriter like keys to change the pitch of some of the strings), this plays a central role on 'Fermentation' - buzzing and plucking with a wild abandon to create rolling ecstatic riffs of improvisational flow. The drones give way to a barrage of effects that find Jake manipulating the instrument in drifts of virtuosic shred, but the way he toggles back and forth between known and unknown tongues demonstrates a conceptual mastery that matches his technique. There are bits of this you might think were Michael Flower, Sandy Bull or even The Byrds if they decamped to India with a bag of narcotics before recording a night-long improv session. 'Fermentation's tangled fusion of East/West, traditional/post-modern seamlessly shifts between tumultuous intensity and blissed-out serenity perhaps reflecting Jake's struggles with pain and brief moments of reprieve. As a prism separates white light into many colours or many colour... –

Remarks:
The Sea Of Wires were a very early '80s electronic duo hailing from the industrial wastelands of Coventry... Followers of the German electronic scene of the time (Tangerine Dream, Ash Ra Tempel, Popol Vuh, Cluster etc), Chris Jones and Tony Murphy used elements of Kosmische Musik in their compositions, with a variety of warm synths, analogue effects, and layered experimentation. This double-CD collects cassettes which appeared on their own Sea Of Wires label: 'Individually Screened' (1980, then 1981 on the famous Flowmotion label), Chris Jones' 'Diversions' (1981, featuring Murphy on synth), and 'Beyond The Edge Of Tomorrow' (1982), representing the absolute peak of their sound. These tracks appeared as a double LP on the illustrious Vinyl-on-Demand label back in 2014 as part of the massive 12LP boxset '80's Minimal Synth. Wave Vol. 2,' but are presented here on CD for the first time ever.FFO early Human League, Vice Versa, We Be Echo, Tangerine Dream. Double CD in a matt-finish gatefold ecopak. –

Remarks:
The debut album from Bestia Astrum (aka Abby Helasdottir/Gydja) is a grim exploration of 'Fury 161,' the prison planet from the movie 'Alien3.' An industrial ambient travelogue of the spaces in the planet's dark and rusty facility, beginning on a wind-swept shore and ending in the eternal repose of stony sleep.More than just an alternate soundtrack to a film, 'Fury 161' takes cues from the long and troubled production of 'Alien3,' incorporating themes from earlier concepts proposed during its development hell, including the treatment created by Vincent Ward, who imagined the movie's location as a wooden planet that was home to an order of space monks. Motifs of eremitic religiosity permeate the album, as well as themes of Yeatsian apocalypticism, abject anatomy, and the intersection between the sacred and the profane, betwixt the beautiful and the grotesque. Full colour matt-laminate digipak with gold spot colour, accompanied by a 16-page booklet with an essay by Abby Helasdottir. –

Adam F – Colours Revisited
Label: 181 Recordings – 181001LP
Format: Vinyl, 12", Album, Transparent Red
Country: UK
Released: 21 Feb 2025
Genre: Electronic
Style: Drum n Bass, Downtempo
Tracklist:
• A1 | 73 MK8 Revisited
• A2 | Metropolis Revisited
• B1 | Music in My Mind Revisited
• B2 | Jaxx Revisited
• C1 | The Tree Knows Everything Revisited
• C2 | Circles Revisited (Extended)
• D1 | Mother Earth Revisited
• D2 | Dirty Harry Revisited
• E | F-Jam Revisited
• F | Aromatherapy Revisited
Remarks:
'Colours Revisited' is a revision of Adam F's MOBO Award-winning 1997 debut album that tells a story of musical rebirth and passion. Adam F, realising that 'Colours' had found a new audience-partly thanks to artists like PinkPantheress-decided to recreate the album. Instead of simply remastering the tracks, Adam went all in. Over two years, he meticu-lously reworked the original music, from restoring vintage instruments like his Fender Rhodes piano to enlisting UK jazz legends like Julian Joseph. Vocalists including Kirsty Hawkshaw and the late MC Conrad re-recorded their parts, while new solos from world-class musicians added fresh life to the tracks. This is a must have album for drum & bass lovers which pays hom-age to what has become a cornerstone of British electronic music history. Includes download card with bonus tracks. –

Remarks:
Collaborative mini album by two musicians highly esteemed for decades in the electronic music scene, Simon Posford and Raja Ram, 'Improvisations For Piano & Flute': as the title suggests, a series of fully improvised compositions by the two legendary musicians. The 44-minute flow of this album is more contemplative and analog in nature than anything in the pair's previous output in their three decades of collaborative work, yet equally mesmerising and consciousness-expanding. This album is a significant departure from their usual output in its focus on the interplay of Raj's lyrical flute playing and Simon's noodling at the piano, with almost imperceptible synthesized atmospheric support that seamlessly unites analog and digital realities. These improvisations were recorded in Posford's living room instead of the usual studio because the musicians found that it provided more of the desired ambience. With a synthesizer placed atop an antique Bluthner piano, either Raj or Simon would begin playing and the other would join in - nothing prepared, decided, or arranged: just live, in-the-moment inspiration. This spontaneity infuses each track with such magnetic energy that the listener is inevitably drawn into each note, phrase, and piece. The whole album is supremely chill and introspective, with a grand arc to the storyline of 8 tracks that Shpongle fans will recognize from the dynamic duo's internationally prized discography. 'Improvisations for Piano & Flute' is a salve for the soul, providing an atmospheric antidote to the relentless stress and fast pace of our increasingly complex world - a great way to kick back, tune in, and refresh. –

Remarks:
Recorded in a single late night session in a house in Casablanca, using a Tascam field recorder and 2 microphones, 'Dead Of Night' is an incredible solo album from Maalem Houssam Guinia, the son of Maalem Mahmoud Guinia, and one of Morocco's most exciting young Gnawa masters. It captures Houssam at his most natural, singing and playing the Gnawa songs that have been with him since his birth, completely solo and free without percussion or backing vocals. Houssam described the album as containing the songs he knows best as these were the pieces his father would play and sing late into the night in their home when he was an infant. The whole performance has been beautifully and sympathetically captured by bassist and producer Karl-Erik Enkelman. –

Remarks:
Tara Clerkin Trio present their self titled debut LP on Laura Lies In. Similar to that directorial effect of filming at double speed and then slowing down for playback, the record ambles with assurance, expertly paced. Having solidified the workings of the group over the last year their debut self-titled has emerged alongside a strong live set. Drifting from dubby minimalism to smudged acid jazz, Tara's stark and tuneful voice acts as the vehicle for her concise poetic lyricism. The group coalesce disparate influences into a cohesive sound, reflecting a romantic view of a familiar worldA record existing disconnected from the daily getyadowns, a holiday from life, optimism as resistance against mundanity, something extraordinary amongst the ordinary, positively grey. –

The first ever release of Pitchshifter's legendary BBC sessions for the late, great John Peel. These ultra heavy industrial metal tracks were recorded over two sessions at the iconic Maida Vale studios: 28th April 1991 and 30th March 1993 and were sourced directly from the BBC Archives. The 1991 session was recorded during the same period as 'Industrial' (Deaf Records/Peaceville), with the 1993 session recorded around the time of 'Desensitized' (Earache). Founded in Nottingham in 1989, Pitchshifter's early style was heavy industrial metal, being cited as one of the originators of the genre along with Godflesh - a style which they termed "death industrial." These sessions and albums mark the end of that classic period, before a shift towards the more commercial, beat-driven industrial style from the mid-'90s onward that they are still known for. Edition on white vinyl. –

Remarks:

Remarks:
Rarely has a Young Gods album been so deeply infused with its era - one of military conflicts, mass surveillance, and intimate dramas. Since their inception in 1985, the band has pioneered musical landscapes that dared to fuse the raw urgency of rock with the power of electronics. 'Appear Disappear' captures that beating heart. The Young Gods honor their own history as much as their lifelong influences, from psychedelic rock to post-punk, from the swirling, very "Doors-like" 'Intertidal' to the industrial rolls of 'Systemized.' Limited edition on 'Pear Northern Light' coloured vinyl (whatever this means, a sort of icy white)... –
